Description
Cevapi – Cevapcici (Beef and Pork Skinless Sausage) is a type of skinless sausage made with optimal combination of beef and pork meat, found traditionally in the countries of the Balkans. They are considered a national dish in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia and are also very common in Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Slovenia, as well as in Macedonia and Bulgaria. Cevapi has its origins in the Balkans during the Ottoman period, and represents a regional specialty similar to the Turkish kebab. They make great appetizers. They are usually served of 5-10 pieces on a plate or in a special bread – lepinje or somun.
